The conflict between the two tech giants for who makes the better console has been going on for a long time. The gaming consoles that we use, basically Xbox and PlayStation, owned by the multimillion-dollar companies Sony and Microsoft respectively, have been butting heads to cater to the more extensive section of the crowd. The gaming console in today’s time fills a massive void in the process of entertainment, especially in the youth. This conflict has given rise to a catchy name in itself called the “Console Wars”, and this war starts every year when the consoles release their brand new editions. The massive fan bases take the sides that both of these have.
The latest console wars are coming to an end, and if you are not already decided, it’s going to be a tough one. And not only because which one might look better, but because both of the consoles, the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One promise massive offerings in terms of tech and games. Although the PlayStation 4 has taken the lead in the sales, it’s still not decided. Still, there is the ever-present question of the next generation consoles ps5 and Xbox Series X that are going to come out, would you prefer to hold out for more advance and better tech or indulge now?
The PlayStation and the Xbox both have excellent products out. For the ps4 Currently, Sony has two separate versions of the PS4, the standard slim version, which is capable of HDR playback, and the more expensive 4K-capable PS4 Pro. On the other side On the other side of the fence is the Xbox One, now available in the 4K HDR-ready Xbox One S, the disc-less Xbox One S All-Digital Edition, and the ultra-powerful Xbox One X – a console that not only does 4K HDR native gameplay but, in some cases, plays games at 60 frames-per-second too.
As far as the price point is concerned, both are more expensive than their predecessors, and rightly so. Both of the consoles coming just below five hundred dollar puts them on the costly side of products. Still, the PlayStation is a few bucks more than its rival. Both of these consoles are built to attract attention, and as far as the hardware is concerned, both of these have some serious tech. And like all previous console wars, the decision for this sits on you, which one do you want to go for if you’re going to go for it and not hold out for the next generation, for the start of another console war.
